Welcome to Guttman Community College’s Writing Across the Curriculum Professional Development and Certification Professional Development Course. This is an online asynchronous course, although it will be bookended by synchronous Zoom sessions, which will be announced and linked here.

This course is required of all Guttman faculty teaching Writing Intensive courses. Over the next several weeks, we will unpack and discuss best practices in the following:

• Writing as a process (prompts, scaffolding)
• Disciplinary reading, writing, and research
• Responding to student work
• Grading, rubrics, and linguistic justice
